Court records show that Lakesha Shanese Womack, the Democratic candidate for North Carolina’s 14th Congressional District, has a pending felony case stemming from a rental car that was allegedly not returned in 2019.
According to police records, Budget Car Rental rented a vehicle to Womack on Oct. 7, 2019, with a return date of Oct. 23.
The case, No. 20CR201748-590, is listed in Mecklenburg District Court with the charge “FAIL RETURN HIRED MV >$4000.”…
