Grab the Rain Gear: Showers continue through Sunday morning

Good evening and happy Saturday! After a dreary day across the Carolinas, more showers and storms are on the way this evening as well as continuing into next week. Even with the wet weather moving through temperatures will quickly rebound next week with highs pushing back up towards 90 on Wednesday. Towards the end of the week, we are expecting another storm system to bring more wet weather to the Carolinas late Thursday and Friday.

As for tonight and Sunday, more showers and storms will move through during the overnight hours before a break in the unsettled weather during the day on Sunday. With that break, we should see some sunshine helping to push our temperatures back up into the low 80s. Scattered showers and storms are expected to flare up again late in the afternoon and continue through the evening.

On Monday, we are expecting more of the same to start the new week. Mostly cloudy skies to start, followed by scattered showers and storms again flaring up in the afternoon hours. The only difference is that our temperatures may stay cooler thanks to the persistent cloud cover. Drier weather is expected for Tuesday through Thursday, but we could still see a shower or storm during the afternoon. High temperatures are expected to be toasty, with highs near 90.
