CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police shared updates Monday on multiple weekend incidents, ranging from shootings to large fights and weapons charges.
Among the incidents, officers arrested a 21-year-old man after a shooting outside a nightclub on Independence Boulevard, broke up a large fight involving juveniles at Romare Bearden Park, and took a suspect into custody for pointing a gun at passing cars in south Charlotte.
Officers also responded to gunfire near the Truliant Amphitheater and a separate shooting on Hackberry Creek Trail, where two people were arrested, and firearms and drugs were recovered.
