CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police officers reportedly seized more than 8 pounds of marijuana during a recent uptown bust.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers with the Entertainment District unit searched a vehicle in the 500 block of North College Street. After stopping a Mercedes-Benz S 550 in a parking lot, they alleged located more than 8 pounds of suspected marijuana, two semi-automatic firearms, multiple cellphones and more than $7,700 in cash.
Man charged with murder in connection with homicide at Gastonia apartment complex
Police say the driver, 31-year-old Myles Trevont Coleman, was already on active probation for drug charges out of out of Cabarrus County.
CMPD charged him and arrested him April 17 with three felonies:
- Possession with Intent to Sell and/or Deliver a Controlled Substance – Marijuana
- Felony Possession of Marijuana
- Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for a Controlled Substance.
He was booked in Mecklenburg County jail on a $25,000 bond, but posted it less than 24 hours later…
