CHARLOTTE, N.C. — North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services says it is closely monitoring the hantavirus outbreak after confirming a North Carolina resident was on board the cruise ship where it happened.
The one resident has been evacuated with the rest of the United States passengers to the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s National Quarantine Unit.
NCDHHS says there are currently no hantavirus cases in the state and the risk of infection is low…
