Huntersville Police K-9 Echo finds 2.4 lbs. of marijuana: PD

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A traffic stop has ended with an arrest and drug seizure, according to Huntersville Police.

Around 10:39 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, officers noticed a suspicious Nissan Sentra parked on Shive Drive between Maruti Avenue and Statesville Road. They say they could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car.

K-9 Echo was called in to help, ultimately finding 2.4 pounds of what is believed to be marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.

Blake Javon Summers, 32, was arrested in connection with the incident and charged with:

  • Felony possession of marijuana,
  • Felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance
  • Possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana
  • Possession of marijuana paraphernalia
