STAUNTON — A teenager who was one of two people shot earlier this year during an alleged illegal gun sale has pleaded guilty to multiple charges involving a rash of vehicle thefts in Staunton in late 2024.
Braxton P. Ritchie, 19, of Staunton, was a juvenile when the thefts took place, according to Staunton Commonwealth’s Attorney John Baber. He was tried as an adult.
On May 28 in Staunton Circuit Court, Ritchie pleaded guilty to two charges of firearm theft, eight charges of credit card theft, and one charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Ten of the charges, except for the motor vehicle charge, were taken under advisement and will be dismissed if Ritchie remains trouble-free…
