CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. It’s a warm and humid start to the day. A heat Advisory is in effect for most of the region until 8pm this evening. While afternoon high temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 90s, the Heat Index is expected to be well above 100. We are tracking a cold front to our west. Scattered showers and storms will advance across the region between 3pm and 8pm. Skies will gradually clear tonight with areas of fog. Saturday will feature sunshine and lower humidity, although temperatures will be in the low 90s. A late scattered storm will be possible late Sunday. Have a great and safe weekend !
