Madison BOS approves dispatch pay incentives as staffing strain hits emergency communications

Madison County will add new pay incentives and part-time help for emergency dispatchers after officials warned the county’s emergency communications center is operating under severe staffing strain.

The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve a $2.50-an-hour shift differential for eligible dispatch staff and create two part-time positions.
