A documentary about Shenandoah National Park does not shy away from the park’s hardest truth: its creation came at a steep human cost.
During a local screening Sunday at The Barn at Stony Brook in Banco, filmmakers and community guests described the feature-length film as a “love letter” to Shenandoah. But the documentary also revisits the forced removal of nearly 500 families from the Blue Ridge in the 1930s.
