Chiswell Farm & Winery in Greenwood has claimed the mantle of hosting the Virginia Sunflower Festival for a second year running, featuring more than 500,000 sunflower blooms across four acres at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Running through August 9, the festival offers guests the opportunity to cut and take three blooms for $15, with additional flowers for $2 each.
This year organizers are offering picnic dinners amid the flowers, and the final one is the evening of August 7. Tickets are $100 per person…
