Charlottesville police collecting dog supplies ahead of move to new low-barrier shelter

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – As Charlottesville prepares to move people from the Free Bridge encampment into a new emergency low-barrier shelter next week, police are working with a nonprofit veterinary center to make sure people with dogs can bring their pets with them.

Charlottesville Police Department and Anicira are collecting basic pet supplies including dog beds, non-ceramic food and water bowls, leashes and collars.
