The City of Charlottesville’s temporary emergency shelter at 2000 Holiday Drive opened on Sept. 1 — the same day the city began clearing the Free Bridge encampment along the Rivanna River.
As of Wednesday, a city spokesperson said that 25 people have moved into the 2000 Holiday Drive shelter.
