Albemarle teenager charged in 2024 drive-by shooting

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) – An Albemarle 17-year-old is behind bars and faces five charges connected to a drive-by shooting on Solomon Road in December of 2024.

According to an Albemarle County Police Department news release, officers arrest the teen on Friday, April 24, and charged him with attempted malicious wounding, gang participation and three gun crimes. No one was hurt in the shooting.

The suspect was not named due to his age, according to the news release, and he is being held at a juvenile detention center…
