Hixson family rebuilding after weekend storm: Saturated ground increases tree-fall risk

HIXSON, Tenn. — A family in Hixson will have to rebuild after a tree came crashing down on their roof over the weekend.

With the ground still saturated, a local tree service says there is still a risk of fallen trees for some residents.

The storm that passed through on Sunday also caused some roads in Hamilton County to close, including the W Road, Suck Creek Road, and Signal Mountain Road.
