Parents of late Chattanooga EMT launch nonprofit to help first responders who face trauma

Gary and Karlin Sewell say their son loved helping people.

Now, after his death, they hope his story helps other first responders struggling with trauma and mental health.

Their son, Zachary “Zac” Sewell, worked as an advanced EMT for about a decade before recently dying by suicide.
