Chattanooga man facing charges after assaulting officers, leaving cats in 108-degree van

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Police say a Chattanooga man is facing multiple charges after assaulting officers and leaving more than 10 cats inside a van where temperatures were measured as high as 108 degrees.

A arrest report says a Chattanooga Police officer responded Tuesday to assist McKamey Animal Center with the retrieval of multiple cats.

McKamey officers were acting under a court order signed by Chattanooga City Court that authorized them to impound cats due to “neglect” and “unsanitary” conditions…
