The Chattanooga Beer Board has voted to move toward dismissing citations that had been issued against Champy’s.
The decision comes after an outside attorney advised board members that the citations were not consistent with state law.
Back in April, some Beer Board members raised concerns after learning that Champy’s continued selling beer despite questions about the status of its permit.
The issue later became entangled in a broader controversy involving an anonymous letter that accused the board of racial bias and giving special treatment to some businesses.
