Lookout Mountain holds off second reading of Incline ordinance amid talks with CARTA

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Tenn. — The Town of Lookout Mountain says it’s delaying the second reading of the proposed Incline Railway ordinance to continue discussion about its implications with CARTA, according to a release.

In May, the town voted to pass an ordinance that would impose a $1 fee per rider on the Incline Railway, as well as limit the amount of riders per day and its hours of operation.

The ordinance passed after its first reading.

The town’s agenda showed they still planned to hold a second reading with CARTA’s board, but would delay that for a month to allow CARTA time for discussion…
