A Bradley County warehouse becomes a lifeline; volunteer delivers hope

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — John Thomason opened the door to his warehouse in Cleveland to loud applause and an unexpected crowd.

The surprise was part of a “Pay It Forward” recognition for Thomason’s work collecting and redistributing new and used medical equipment to veterans, veterans’ relatives and others in Bradley County and beyond.

Pharon Spatifore, who nominated John for thee award said, “Listen you are the example of a Christian, and you do stuff for everybody.” Five hundred dollars just for John.im.

Thomason runs what people call a quiet but important operation, helping connect veterans, veterans’ families with equipment they may not be able to afford on their own. He said donated items often come from situations where equipment issued through government programs is no longer needed…
