CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — EPB is warning customers that their electric bills may climb as temperatures continue to rise.
The agency says lowering the thermostat during extreme heat can cause an energy bill to increase because the HVAC system has to work harder to pump cool air.
During the current stretch of heat, EPB said it is sharing tips to help customers save money on monthly bills.
