HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — Hamilton County commissioners voted Wednesday night to move forward with Plan Hamilton, a long-term effort to guide future growth across Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga.
However, the plan drew pushback from residents and local officials before passing in a narrow 6-5 vote.
Plan Hamilton splits the county into 13 areas with the goal of addressing each area’s unique challenges and ensuring infrastructure can keep up as the region grows.
