Despite opposition, Bradley County mayor says he won’t veto property tax increase

BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — Bradley County’s property tax increase is now expected to take effect after Mayor Gary Davis announced he will not veto the budget approved by county commissioners.

The decision comes less than two weeks after the Bradley County Commission voted 9-5 to approve a budget that includes a property tax increase, despite Davis publicly backing a tax-free alternative.
