COLLEGADALE, Tenn. — Lost and with no path forward: that’s what officials with non-profit Child Impact International say is the the reality for many children all across the world.
The non-profit says lack of awareness about child slavery remains one of their biggest obstacles in combating it.
All around the world, slavery is escalating. There are more slaves in the world now than at any time in history, and this is something a lot of people just don’t realize,” Child Impact International Board member Nicole Parker says. ” There’s sex trafficking. There’s all kinds of trafficking going on around the world.”
As World Day against Trafficking in Persons approaches, Child Impact International says they’re doubling down in their awareness efforts.
