According to a new report by Local 3 News, International Paper Co. is closing its facility in Cleveland – and 115 workers will be laid off.
According to the report, the company stated in its WARN notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) that “The plan is that the machines and associated operations will permanently shut down by the middle of December 2024”.
The company is located on Blue Springs Road in Cleveland, and the first employees will be laid off starting around December 16. The company is going through rough times and announced that it will be closing facilities in four states – laying off hundreds.
