DA: No charges for deputies, officers involved in deadly drive-through shooting of suspect

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Hamilton County deputies and Chattanooga Police officers involved in the deadly shooting of a man wanted in 3 counties will not face charges, District Attorney Coty Wamp confirmed to us Monday.

A TBI report from July 2025 says an automatic license plate reader alerted deputies to a man wanted on charges in Hamilton, Bradley and Walker Counties, including felony warrants in the latter 2 jurisdictions.
