Chattanooga firefighters help rescue kitten from storm drain outside Taco Bell Friday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A tiny cry from beneath the pavement turned an ordinary morning into a heartwarming rescue by Chattanooga firefighters on Rossville Boulevard Friday.

Employees at a Taco Bell reported hearing a kitten meowing from inside a storm drain Friday morning, prompting a response from Chattanooga Police and McKamey Animal Center.

Engine 9 Green Shift firefighters were dispatched to assist with the delicate operation.
