Man sets new state record for Largemouth Bass caught in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency announced that a new state record has been set for Largemouth Bass caught in Tennessee.

The TWRA said that Darren Nunley, of Whitwell, broke the record earlier in the year, which was set more than 11 years ago.

Nunley caught the fish in Nickajack Reservoir on Feb. 28 that weighed 15 pounds, 7 1/2 ounces, and was 27 7/8 inches in length.

The previous record was held by Gabe Keen, who caught his prize in 2015, weighing in at 15 pounds and 3 ounces…
