Volunteers place flags at fallen soldiers’ graves for Memorial Day weekend in Chattanooga

To begin Memorial Day weekend, more than 3,000 volunteers joined members of the Chattanooga Veterans Council in placing flags in front of fallen soldiers’ graves.

I think it’s a real good turnout, and especially you’ve got a rainy day, you’ve got also a Memorial Day weekend, but by the same token, McCamish says.

Former naval captain Mickey McCamish says it’s an honor to have a big turnout for a patriotic. He adds that people shouldn’t forget where their freedoms came from and who fought for them.
