Memorial Day rain sticks around Chattanooga area this week with flooding concerns possible

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — If you are spending Memorial Day outdoors, keep the umbrella nearby.

Our StormTrack 9 team says Monday will not be a washout, but they expect scattered showers and storms to get more common later in the day, especially around lunchtime and again near dinner time.

A Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama through 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a Fog Advisory continues through 11 a.m. Monday for Cumberland, Van Buren, Grundy, Franklin, Jackson and Dekalb counties.
