VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — On the morning of May 26, the Samaritan’s House team arrived at their office at 2620 Southern Boulevard in Virginia Beach to find that donations outside had been destroyed, according to their Facebook page.
Whether by a person or an animal, many bags and boxes were ripped open, scattering their contents everywhere. The donations were then ruined by the rain.
The Samaritan House stated that the donations had to be discarded, meaning they couldn’t reach those in need of their services as intended.
To help prevent this, the Samaritan House said to please drop off donations only during their open hours, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or schedule a pickup of your items by calling our partner, Thrift Store City, at (757) 583 -7211…
