USS Iwo Jima returns to Naval Station Norfolk after 10-month deployment

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Following a 10-month deployment, USS Iwo Jima is set to return to Naval Station Norfolk on Saturday.

The wasp-class amphibious assault ship is the flagship of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (IWO Arg). IWO ARG is comprised of USS Fort Lauderdale and USS San Antonio, which returned to Norfolk on April 29. Fourt Lauderdale remains deployed.
