Norfolk Police search for man in connection to attempted abduction investigation

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Norfolk Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection to an attempted abduction investigation, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

After detectives investigated this situation, James Davis, 47, of Chesapeake, was charged with the following:

  • Brandishing a firearm
  • Attempted malicious wounding
  • Two counts of use of a firearm
  • Possession or transportation of firearms
  • Abduction
  • Robbery

On June 4 at around 1:10 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Yarmouth Street, where it was reported that an unknown man approached a woman while she walked in the area.
