Suffolk names Gerry Jones to deputy city manager post

SUFFOLK, Va., (WAVY) — The City of Suffolk appointed Gerry Jones as the deputy city manager, overseeing the city’s development portfolio effective May 6.

He had been the interim deputy city manager since September 2025.

Jones is a graduate of Hampton University and a licensed architect.
