Pungo Ferry Road’s recurring flooding problem has a preferred fix: raise the road.
According to a city staff report, the Federal Highway Administration and the City of Virginia Beach have jointly selected the Retaining Wall Alternative as the preferred approach for the Pungo Ferry Road Flood Protection Project.
