SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY)– A Waverly man has died following a boating incident on the Pagan River in Smithfield Friday afternoon.
According to the Virginia Marine Police, officers were called to the incident at 2 p.m. Officials say the incident occurred near the North Church Street Bridge.
