Norfolk man pleads guilty to attempting to tamper with witnesses

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk man pled guilty Thursday to attempted witness tampering after federal prosecutors said that he threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend, her family, her current boyfriend, and an FBI agent while under investigation.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, 33-year-old Christopher Martin Herr called his ex-girlfriend dozens of times on May 3, 2025, and left multiple voicemails threatening to kill her, murder her boyfriend and assault her father.
