NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A traffic signal box was transformed into a mural of Black royalty on Campostella Road.
D’Andre Clarke, alias D.SAC The Artist, described the artwork as purposeful as it provides positive imagery in the community. Placed directly in front of the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, he told 10 On Your Side he could not have selected a more fitting location to have his illustration showcased.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better location. It felt like it was exactly where it was supposed to be,” he said.
