NORFOLK, Va. — For some young girls, starting their period at school can be confusing, embarrassing… and sometimes enough to send them home. One Hampton Roads nonprofit is working to make sure students have what they need.
“No Shame. Period.” is providing students with supplies so they can stay in class, while also working to eliminate the stigma around menstruation.
