East Norfolk residents push back on Military Circle Mall redevelopment delay

NORFOLK, Va. — The East Norfolk community is voicing frustration over the city’s efforts to redevelop Military Circle Mall, saying progress has stalled since the property closed in 2023.

“The entire Eastside community has been waiting for something to happen here,” said Liz Albert, a member of the Equity for the Eastside Coalition.
