VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Beach Police Department is warning the community about the dangers of hand-dug sand pits.
Police say the sand pits can pose serious risks to beachgoers and visitors as it can be difficult to spot at dusk, busy periods or in crowded beach conditions.
