BOYKINS, Va. — A Portsmouth man who was wanted for assault was arrested in Southampton County on Thursday, but not before injuring a deputy in the process.
The chief deputy of the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office said that, around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a deputy joined a Boykins police sergeant in an attempt to locate a wanted man at a home in the 32000 block of Queen Street in Boykins.
