NEWINGTON — A 66-year-old man was taken into custody on Monday in connection with a decades-old homicide out of Virginia Beach, according to police.
Newington police arrested Charles Berry, a resident of Newington, at around 4:15 p.m. on Monday and charged him as a fugitive from justice, the police department said in a news release.
Police said the arrest was made in coordination with the Virginia Beach Police Department, which holds a valid arrest warrant for charges related to a homicide from 1986. Berry was processed at the Newington Police Department and taken to state Superior Court in New Britain on Tuesday…
