Hummingbird Bowls is opening next month in Downtown Skokie. The restaurant will offer a nutrition-focused menu to the neighborhood. It will also feature a monthly community menu program, giving customers a chance to submit their own smoothie and bowl ideas.
Hummingbird Bowls to Open in Downtown Skokie Next Month
Skokie is soon to welcome a woman-owned fast-casual restaurant to its culinary scene. Amy Feldman is a third-generation Skokie resident who is opening Hummingbird Bowls. She has more than 25 years of experience in the natural food industry.
Feldman has worked with well-known natural food brands such as POM Wonderful, Lifeway Foods, and Enjoy Life Foods. She draws on her experience with these brands in launching the new restaurant. Hummingbird Bowls is designed as a community-focused space centered on healthy food.
“I’ve spent over 25 years helping build brands that stand for something. Hummingbird is the first one I’m launching as my own — and it’s rooted in the place that made me,” said Amy Feldman, Founder, Hummingbird Hideaway LLC. “Every ingredient, every name on the menu, every nonprofit we partner with reflects this community.
