The Stickney Village Board unanimously appointed Clerk Mitch Milenkovic as mayor Friday, May 29, filling the position left vacant by Mayor Jeff Walik’s death on May 9.
Milenkovic was sworn in by Village Attorney Michael DelGaldo at a special board meeting.
“Mayor Jeff Walik did a great job,” Milenkovic said. “He has us going in the right direction and these are hard shoes to fill, but I, and our board look forward to continuing his work.”…
