15-year-old and two men charged with murdering boys in Auburn Gresham apartment building

A 15-year-old boy joined two adult men in carrying out a double murder that left two teenagers dead and another man wounded inside an Auburn Gresham home last autumn, according to prosecutors.

Chicago police responded to a residence in the 8100 block of South Marshfield Avenue just before 8 a.m. on October 22 and found 16-year-old Dejavae Christopher on the second floor and 17-year-old Tamarion West on a nearby stairwell, according to an initial police report. Both had been fatally shot. A 21-year-old man who had been shot in the arm was discovered hiding beneath a bed.

Officers at the scene found evidence spread across two floors of the home, and initial reports indicated the victims may have been chased through the building by the gunmen before they were shot. Authorities have not publicly disclosed a motive for the shootings…
