Brookfield police on July 12 cited a 40-year-old Bensenville man for driving without a license after his car struck another car.
Around 1 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Ogden and Prairie avenues on a report of a car crash without injuries or airbag deployment. The officer met the parties of both vehicles at the BP gas station and first spoke with the driver and passenger of the struck vehicle. The pair said they were driving west on Ogden Avenue and had come to a stop to turn left onto Prairie Avenue when their vehicle was rear-ended.
The officer spoke with the driver of the second vehicle, who said he had been driving right behind the first car. He said he had been distracted briefly while looking at an auto repair shop on the road when he turned back to the road before rear-ending the car in front of his.
