Attorneys announced a lawsuit Monday on behalf of a man who was shot and killed by police in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood in March, alleging that an officer fired deadly shots just after arriving at a controlled scene instead of de-escalating.
Derek Jordan was shot and killed by Chicago police just after 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 9, in the 800 block of North Homan Avenue.
