Scammers posing as storm chasers targeting victims, BBB warns

CHICAGO (WGN) — If your home sustained storm damage, beware of repair scams.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is warning residents and businesses about so-called “storm chasers” who offer to fix roofs, replace windows, remove uprooted trees, and repair flooded basements.

The group is also alerting people about substandard contractors. Scammers sometimes pose as utility workers.
