CHICAGO (WGN) — A former Chicago Public Schools (CPS) principal was sentenced to federal prison on Wednesday for his role in a million-dollar fraud scheme.
Brian Metcalf, 52, of Baltimore, Maryland agreed to plead guilty to federal wire fraud charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois announced in a news release. Metcalf worked in Chicago and later became the superintendent of schools in Indianapolis.
He was later convicted of making fake invoices for services that were never actually performed, along with two others: 55-year-old Kimberly Maddox of Matteson and 59-year-old James Darnell Campbell of Frankfort…
